Glamping
Launched in 2018 The Old Stone Barn are now able to offer “Glamping” – a Luxury Camping Experience.
We have three fully self-contained safari tents furnished to a high standard each sleeping between 4 - 8 people, with our third tent "The Hamlet" being new for 2024.
With a minimum of a 2 night stay at very competitive prices - what are you waiting for. We have guests coming to stay from as close as Olney (the local town) to as far away as Australia! We have several local families come and stay because they say, "when you are here - you could be anywhere and without the travel time what is not to love"!
Whether you are looking for a family break, a girls / lads weekend or even a Hen do, there is something here for everyone.
OUR SAFARI TENTS:
Each Tent contains a minimum of two bedrooms (1x double and 1x twin with bunk beds), a bathroom complete with a roll – top bath, and a kitchenette.
“The Ranger” is our safari tent particularly geared towards the larger family and sleeps up to 8 people. This has the double room and bunk bed room and also hosts an additional cabin bed sleeping two and a sofa bed. The bathroom contains a beautiful roll-top bath.
“The Alpaca” sleeps up to 6 and is the preferred tent for couples and smaller families. This has a double room and bunk bed room and also the sofa bed for an extra two in the living room. This tent contains a beautiful roll-top bath and also houses a shower.
"The Hamlet" is new for our 2024 season and sleeps up to 4. This has a double room and a twin room and a large living area. This tent contains a beautiful roll-top bath.
Heated by a wood-burning stove for a cosy feel means you can enjoy home comforts while experiencing a great outdoor feeling. Luxury Camping at it’s finest.
A Guide to Help you Pack:
We recommend you to bring Wellies (although we would love for you not to need these!), coats, towels (these can be hired on site) & swimming costumes.
You are welcome to have supermarket deliveries to here but please do advise us if you have booked one so we can direct them to you as you may not see them arrive… We can offer a welcome box with essentials you may need for your arrival.

FACILITIES:
All of our facilities are available to anyone hiring the safari tents. This means you have access to the swimming pool (heated and open between end of May and September - may occasionally be closed for swimming lessons), the children's play area and all the communal grounds and gardens.
There are BBQs available for your use, firepits, laundry facilities, garden games as well as lots of walks through the beautiful countryside.

Welcome Essentials Hamper - £20.00
Includes, a starter fire and bucket of wood, Toilet rolls, Kitchen Towel, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Biscuits and Crisps.
Luxury Welcome Hamper - £27.50
Everything in the Essentials Hamper plus Fresh Bread, Butter, Honey and Jam.

Continental - £25.00 - includes Crossiants, Juice, Cereal, Butter, Honey / Jam and Milk (enough for 6 people).
Cooked Box - £35.00 Everything in the Continental plus 6 x Sausages, 6 x Eggs and Fresh Bread. (enough for 6 people).
Towel Bundles - £2.50 include Bath Sheet & Bath Towel
Swimming Pool Towels - £1.00 per towel.
Additional Fire Supplies - There is a log store in the field where you are able to help yourself to wood and kindling during your stay. We ask for a donation in the Honesty Box towards the cost of buying in the wood.
Each Safari Tent has a small tabletop fridge within the kitchenette area. If you wish to order BBQ Boxes for each night we can deliver these to your tent fresh each day so you do not have to store them.
BOOKING:
We are trialing a new online booking system. Bookings can be taken for a 2 night minimum and there are no check in's available on Sundays. If you have any issues booking please send us an email through the enquiry page or give us a call and we will be happy to help.
Because our Hen Party / Girls weekend packages are bespoke these are not available to book through the website. Please enquire for further information.
